6 yoga poses to do when you just can't fall asleep
Updated: Mar 31, 2020
Sometimes no matter how many cups of teas you've drank and pages of a book you've read, you just can't fall asleep. Yoga can be a helpful tool in these kinds of scenarios that you can carry wherever you go. Here are 6 yoga asanas to do to go right to sleep:
1. Padangushtasana (Big Toe)

Keep your spine as long and elongated as possible. Do not stress your neck. Just release your head. The goal is not to get to the floor. Be patient with yourself
2. Marjaryasana (Cat)

Do not drop your head back. Keep it reasonable.
3. Bitilasna (Cow)

Drop your head. Relax your neck
4. Salamba Sirsasana (Headstand)

Keep a strong base by keeping your elbows tucked in for stability and look straight ahead.
Discretion: With this pose, be sure to not throw yourself up there and be patient with yourself. Go slowly and safely. This pose is not safe for everyone to do without guidance.
5. Supta Virasana (Reclining Hero)

Allow your chest to broaden. Allow yourself to sync to the bolster or blanket.
6. Viparita Karani (Legs up Wall)

Allow yourself to relax and don’t be too tensed.
