5 ways to turn your bedroom from 'slob rob' to 'boho bob'
Updated: Mar 21, 2020
If you keep up with the trends, you would know that bohemian styled bedroom's are EXTREMELY in right now. From it's cozy feeling to it's simplicity, bohemian-styled bedrooms are one of the best aesthetics to try and capture in your own bedroom. Here are 10 (kind of) easy ways to give your bedroom a bohemian vibe:
1. Paint your walls white.
Painting your room walls a lighter color is ESSENTIAL for a bohemian look. In order to gain the simplicity a bohemian-bedroom has, you should have any light colored walls. However, before picking your final paint color, you should really think about the vibe you want to give of. For example, if you want to give off a more cozy vibe to relax your mind after a hard day at work, you should go with a warm-toned colored paint.
2. Add small pops of color.
Adding pops of color is pretty important. Without it, your room may be quite boring and to be honest a little blinding. Going with a bohemian theme, gives you a little bit of flexibility in terms of the color palette. You could practically throw in any warm-toned color and it would look great (and boho). Tip: But make sure to coordinate between whichever colors you choose.
3. Throw in some fairy-lights: the weakness of all basic girls
Yes, that's right, in order to complete your boho room... you may have to give in to your basic teen girl self. All jokes aside, these lights are a very inexpensive way to give your room a cozier, boho vibe. To be completely honest, it doesn't really matter where or how you place them. You could throw these bad boys just about anywhere and they could transform your room from a 2 to a solid 5.
4. Grow something green.
I know it's "a lot of work" or whatever but if you think about it, it's seriously a win-win situation. You get fresh air AND a spacious-looking room. Even if you "don't have the time" to take care of real plants, you can always resort to fake plants. Yes, they won't look as good, but they still add a little something extra.
5. DECLUTTER, DECLUTTER, DECLUTTER!
The last thing you want to see in a bohemian-styled bedroom is too much. Refrain from putting up too much junk on your walls as possible because quite frankly it will hurt your head. Unless it's necessary or has value to you, don't waste the space in your room. Simplicity is key!
I'm sure that if you try these five essentials, you will for sure have the best boho room your boho-butt could ever imagine.
